GODLY Ambition does NOT Lead to Pride

You need to find out what your God given purpose is. The moment you find out what your purpose is in life you bring solutions to unsolved problems. In my opinion the most succesful people are not the richest people, but people who get to walk in their God given purpose and bring solutions to problems.
There is nothing wrong with being ambitious and being ambitious doesn’t have anything to do with pride.  What the bible doesn’t condone is selfish ambition (Philippians 2:3). When you do things out of selfish ambition you like to be seen and you are driven by evil motives. When people are not clapping for you, you easily feel like giving up. When you want to do something right with the wrong motives God doesn’t approve it. If you want to achieve something just to prove how great you are it easily leads to pride. And God resists the proud. He doesn’t want anything to do with people who are proud.

‘Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; Though they join forces, none will go unpunished.’-Proverbs 16:5 NKJV

Godly ambition has nothing to do with you, but what God can do THROUGH you. ‘God gives opportunities and what you do with those opportunities is your gift to Him’, as bishop T.D. Jakes beautifully said during a recent interview. The dreams and ambitions you have is to help and serve others. It is to make God’s plan succeed. You can become someone’s destiny helper through your purpose.
We wanted to start this blog a long time ago. But we never took the steps to really plan or build a blog website. It was just something we desired and thought was very cool. We didn’t put effort in building this ambition and even after we finally decided to design a blog website we weren’t really consistent. This is still something we are working on, so please bear with us :o)! The point I’m trying to make is that you need to come out of your comfort zone and make sure you use your God given talents.
The steps of the righteous are ordered by God’ (Psalms 37:23). But how can God order our footsteps if we’re not taking any? 😅
Don’t do what everyone else is doing, dare to stand out. Dare to be diffrent, dare to do something new. Pray, ask questions and never compare your life to others. It is often said that comparison is the thief of joy. This is very true. The moment you compare yourself with someone who has achieved more than you, it feels like you haven’t done much. You feel unfulfilled. And you start thinking less of yourself. You can never compare a cake that is ready to be served with a cake that has just been placed in a oven a few minutes ago. The cake that is still in the oven might taste way better than the cake that is ready to be served. So never compare your planting season to someone elses harvest.
One thing you should remember is that destinies are not the same. We all have diffrent journeys and every individual is moving according to his/her own timeline. Everyone has something unique he/she can bring to the table. So never envy your friend. There is so much in you! And by envying you might overlook your talents and gifts and you might never find out what God has placed on the inside of you. Occupy your mind with the right things and just go for it. Don’t let your fears hold you back, all you need to do is fully trust God.
And just a small advice from us; never let compliments get to your head and don’t let criticism get to your heart. Walk in your purpose and stay humble.
Proverbs 16:3
